Approximately 16 1/2 inches high and approximatley 12 inches wide. The print on the front is entitled In The Park at Meudon, Near Paris and is from the water color by M. Heiluth. A beautiful woodcut measuring 11 x 9. Pages are 398 to 408. As shown on image two, there are fine engravings of the construction of the Hudson River Tunnel. This would be of immense intrest to the New York collector as well as those wishing to document of work of the Irish as they came to the United States. Some of the edges of the pages are tattered from wear bu all the of the graphics and text is well preserved. The last two pages feature period advertising. All in all this is a delightful collectible for only $325.00

Approximatley 16 1/2 inches high and approximatley 12 inches wide. The print on the front is entitled The Wren and Its Nest Pages 197 to 208. Page 201 is a collection of engravings of the Bell Telephone, The Edison Telephone, The Reiss Telephone, Carbon Telephone and Snuffbox Telephone and finally Gray's Telephone. All of a quite fine quality. I've taken the opportunity to picture the back page which shows some of the advertising. Very good condition. You can own this collectible for only $300.00

Very good condition. On page 136 there is a large print of the Money Order Department, New York Postoffice A second print Her First Hand at the Oar appears on page 137 and shows a young girl with ther father rowing a fishing boat. Quite appealing to the New York collector. Frameable art. Price: $325.00

The print on the front is used to illustate the poem, A Thunder-Storm in Summer The artist and engraver names appear on the print, Paul DIxon and Hayes. New York, Saturday, July 15, 1882. Vol XII No 28. Copyright 1882 by American Tract SOciety. Good condition. There is staining at the right lower border and there is a tear into the copy from the top margin on the back. Pages 333 to 344. Pages 336 and 337 feature many religious artifacts from the ancient world. The back cover is also quite interesting in that there is a large ad for Dr. Scott's Electric Hair Brush. It supposedly is endorsed by the Prince and Princess of Wales and will stimulate the hair follicules. The ad is approximately 7 1/2 x 6 1/2. There are also ads for Estey Organ, a Double Hip Perfect Fitting Woven Corset, Baker's Breakfast Cocoa, and the Jennings' Patent Water Closet among many more. Price: $300.00



  • The Illustrated Christian Weekly This publication is large format. Approximatley 16 1/2 inches high and approximately 12 inches wide. The print on the front cover is entitled, After the Battle. Some Unknown Revolutionary Heroes. New York, Saturday, February 25, 1882, Vol XII No. 8, copyright 1882 by American Tract Society. Pages 85 to 96. Pages 88 and 89 are heavily illustrated with engravings of various electric machines: propeller of electric flying motor, boat driven by stored electricity, a secondary battery with electric motor, the lead plates, the commutator, longitudinal and transverse sections, the secondary battery with electric lamp and electric flying machine. Very fine engravings. For the woman of the house there is also an engraving of a young woman holding a small boy's head in her lap entitled, In the Sweet Chimes God Seems to say, Be comforted! All will be well! Another illustration is of Leonardo Da Vinci Liberating the Birds. There is also a story about the rapids on the St. Lawrence River. These newspapers carry amy interesting articles which go beyond the bounds of religion. There is news of the Massachusetts legislature and various cheanges in the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. Very Good Condition. $325.00
