| Les
Champs delicieux or The Delightful Fields was
a rather strange book of rather strange pictures called
rayographs produced in 1922 by
the rather strange artistic genus Man Ray
(1890-1976).
The pictures are abstracts produced by
contact printing three dimensional
bric-a-brac directly onto photographic paper of film.
While Ray
had been born in America, he did most of his work and had most
of his influence in France, the hub of photography and art.
Estimated basic value: $275
