Callahan,
Harry Morey (1912-circa 1984) was an innovative American
photographer and, during the 1940s teacher of photography.
In
1946 he taught at the Institute of Design and in 1961 moved to
the Rhode Island School of Design.
He's remembered primarily
for the striking portraits of his beloved wife and daughter,
landscapes and cityscapes and interesting perspectives of common
objects.
In 1976 the Museum of Modern Art in New York did a
celebrated retrospective of his work.
