Agfacolor was a color negative film. It first appeared in 1936, a year after Kodak introduced Kodachrome, a color slide film. It was a good quality film, but the Second World War and its aftermath greatly curtailed its use. In 1942 Kodak finally introduced a rival product, Kodacolor. A color negative film is superior to a slide film in most applications. Estimated basic value: None
